According to the ISO 15489:2016 standard, Records and Information Management is the field of management responsible for the efficient and systematic control of the creation, receipt, maintenance, use, and disposition of records, including the process of capturing and maintaining evidence of and information about business activities and transactions in the form of records. Profession titles in this group include but are not limited to, Archivist, Audio Visual Records Analyst, Campus Records Manager, Director Documentation Information and Access Services, Information Manager, Records and Information Manager, Records Management Analyst, Records Manager/Records Management Coordinator, Registrar, Records Officer, Records/Registry Clerk, Records and Information Management Officer, Senior Records Officer, and Technical Information Manager.
