ICT is a field of work and study that includes technologies such as desktop and laptop computers, software, peripherals, and connections to the internet, which are intended to fulfill information processing and communications functions (UNESCO 2002, Statistics, Canada, 2008). Profession titles in this group include, but are not limited to, Chief Information Officer, Communications Trade Worker, Computer Network Professional, Database and Systems Administrator and ICT Security, ICT Business and Systems Analyst, ICT Manager, ICT Assistant, Web Developer, Programmer and Systems Analyst.
