Course Description:
This programme is designed to equip persons in the field of accounting and finance, and those aspiring to enter the profession, with the requisite knowledge and competencies to enable their organisations to deliver quality performance outcomes. The Associate of Science Degree Accounting is accredited by the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) and approved by the University of the West Indies for a Normal Matriculation and Advanced Placement into the UWI’s Bachelor of Science Degree Programmes
Course Requirements:
• Five CXC passes at General Proficiency Level Grades 1 – 111 or GCE O’Levels. Passes in CXC or GCE O’ Level subjects must include English Language and Mathematics (N.B. Other non-CXC General Proficiency and GCE O’Level examinations may be considered and accepted) • Preference is given to applicants who have either completed the MIND Diploma in Government Accounting, or are currently pursuing the MIND Diploma in Government Accounting
