Environment Management

Environmental management is concerned with the assessment and monitoring of changes in the natural and built environment and implementing measures to maximise human benefit and to minimise environmental degradation. Some activities include pollution monitoring and assessment, pollution prevention, air quality management, eco-systems management, protected areas management and environmental law and compliance. Profession titles include, but are not limited to, Environmental Manager/Specialist, Waste Management Officer, Environmental Analyst, Environmental Planner, Environmental Coordinator, Natural Resource Specialist, Sustainability Officer, Environmental Technician, and Enforcement Officer/Warden.
