  • Resolves complex ICT infrastructure-related problems using suitable diagnostic tools.
  • Utilises network architecture design and implementation capability (including wired and wireless voice and other data networks). -Participates in the maintenance planning process across the MDA.
  • Supervises and ensures the implementation of scheduled and ad hoc maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Examines supported systems and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Reviews reports on security breaches and ensures the implementation of recovery measures in a timely manner.
  • Provides effective strategic direction to ICT infrastructure design and upgrade-related initiatives across the MDA.
  • Develops and ensures the implementation of relevant standards, guidelines and control functions to ensure uninterrupted applications.
  • Sets maintenance standards for the MDA’s hardware and software.
  • Establishes and ensures the implementation of the MDA’s hardware and software preventive maintenance schedules.
